Founded in 2023 by Sandrine Claus, our start-up addresses a crucial issue: the loss of soil biodiversity and fertility resulting from intensive agricultural practices.

Innovation and Impact
Thanks to our expertise in the field of the microbiome, gained in particular through Sandrine Claus’s work on the gut microbiome, we are developing products based on live bacteria to regenerate soil microbiomes. These products aim to restore essential soil functions such as nutrient recycling, water retention, and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
Partnerships and Perspectives
Based in Gironde, STARFISH Bioscience has partnered with prestigious organizations such as Château La Tour Carnet to create an atlas of vineyard soils. We are also part of Bernard Magrez’s Start-up Win incubator, which provides us with an environment conducive to innovation and growth.
Looking Ahead
We are convinced that by acting on the soil microbiome, alongside a shift toward agroecological practices, we will be able to meet the challenges of climate change and food security.
